Our concept has always been to have a place where anyone can shop for their furry, feathery, and scaly friends, where animals and customers come first.

Benson’s Pet Center is a small independent chain of full-line pet supply stores that have been helping your pets maintain a healthy lifestyle since 1992. We carry the supplies you need for your four-legged friends but don’t worry, we didn’t forget about your feathery and scaly friends. We have them covered too! We specialize in helping our customers find exactly what is best for their pets based on that particular animal's needs. It is becoming increasingly common for our pets to have food allergies or sensitivities to some of the ingredients in their food. Our knowledgeable staff is here to answer any of your pet-related nutrition questions and it’s common to walk into our stores and hear our associates doing just that! We carry an array of high-quality treats and food for all your pets.

Owners Ryan and Frank began operating Benson’s Pet Center in 1992. Although we have expanded and grown, our idea has remained unchanged.

In 1992, we opened in Saratoga Springs, NY.

In 1996, we opened our location in Clifton Park, NY.

In 1998, we opened in Colonie, NY.

In 2000, we opened in Queensbury, NY.

In 2013, we opened in Pittsfield, MA.

In 2015, we opened in Johnstown, NY.

In 2019, we opened Benson's Fish Room in Ballston Spa

In 2022, we opened on an additional locations in Saratoga Springs and in Rotterdam.
