Amber, and all the fish room staff, are super knowledgeable, helpful, and consistently lovely to interact with. They seem to stock the Goldilocks items, so you can trust that they’ve done the cost vs. quality research, factored in responsible husbandry, eliminated the fad products, and have stocked only well-priced quality products. The selection for my other pets (birds & cat) might be less than a big box store, but I find the items are higher quality over quantity and still affordable products. Loved things like fresh millets that you can’t get anywhere else. The cost is comparable to online and you get various loyalty rewards that, over time, make up for any savings you would have gotten by online shopping. (Litter boxes were the one thing that were much more affordable online vs. in stores, so I get those online.)

The staff are so friendly and helpful. They helped me find the right food for my dog and they were very honest, they didn't just try to get me to buy the expensive one. They also have great rewards programs and the employees are patient and friendly and even know some people by name, and the name of their pets. I was having a bad day after visiting my vet and feeling like a bad dog mom for not buying $100 food. The people at Benson's completely turned my day around.
